Activate was recently challenged by the Tony Robbins’ Life Mastery Course to provide people on the life changing course with an event that would allow people to ‘leap’ away from their fears and the pressures affecting in their lives and to begin to fulfil their true potential. Activate designed and built the Leap of Faith in the picturesque location of the St.Andrews, which sits on the summit of a spectacular cliff formation with breathtaking panoramic views of the silvery Tay Estuary, the Old Course and the medieval skyline of St. Andrews.

As you climb all you can hear is your heart booming in your ears, and the encouragement of your colleagues shouting “One More Step”. As you get to the top you force yourself on believing that you can do it! Your hands shake, your knees wobble…what am I doing here?

So here I am as the company director of Activate Events having a great time growing a successful business. Really? If that is the case why does it  feels like wading through wet sand?

This blog is a new area also…what is a blog???? Who reads it? Corporate clients? Worldwide humans? Interested people? Hmmm….I hope someone finds it useful, helpful, inspirational, supportive or just down right intriguing!

Nobody said it would be easy running a business when I started…in fact nobody really said anything that seemed useful at the time or indeed now.

I have changed from doing it all myself (self employed mad man) and am now growing a brilliant team to do the ‘doing’ relevant to the business so I can think and plan strategically (part of being a business owner) as well as grow and empower the team to achieve more than they think they can. (Team Leader / Manager)

All this whilst watching the cashflow!!!! Argh!, getting fit, being present for my young family and trying to get the rugby world cup set up on my laptop through broadband…gotta get your priorities sorted!
